TOYOTA gives certification to Watts Tyres
The Watts Tyre Group has retained Certified Supplier Status for Toyota for the fourth consecutive year.
The award, based on conformance with Toyota Industrial Equipment’s (TIESA France) stringent supplier certification programme, requires that a series of exacting measures be consistently met over the course of a year and follows on Watts Tyre Group being awarded Supplier of the Year to TIESA in 2009.
Carlo Piccirilli, Sales & Marketing Director for Watts commented “We are very pleased to have retained status for another year and this is a reflection of the work put in by the whole team across a range of activities. For our performance to be recognised by the world’s leading forklift truck manufacturer is always very rewarding – particularly considering the challenges faced by the whole OE sector as the global economy continues its fragile recovery.
“To be awarded this status in any one year is an achievement in itself, said Mr Piccirilli, “but to attain it for four years in a row makes it even more significant for us. We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with Toyota and to helping them achieve their goals in all areas including delivery, quality, environment and cost management.”
Watts Tyre Group began the manufacture of solid tyres in 1960 and today produce some of the industry’s best known brands, including Premia, Kargo and FMCX. Watts also produce a range of industrial pneumatic and skid-steer loader tyres as well as a range of Polyurethane tyres for high-load and specialist applications.
