Irish Exporters Awards programme launched
The Irish Exporters Association (IEA) has launched its Export Industry Awards 2010 programme.
In launching the Awards programme on 3rd August, Liam Shanahan, President of the IEA said: “Exporters have managed remarkably well during the past twelve recessionary months – and we expect exports will continue to be the main driver of the Irish economy over the coming years, boosted by the return in global demand.
“More that ever,” said Mr Shanahan, “we need to recognise our export heroes and show what can be done by focused hard work and innovative parties in international markets.“
The Export Industry Awards are open to all companies operating in Ireland. There are a wide range of categories being awarded, encompassing emerging first time exporters, multinational exporters, service exporters, food & drink exporters, software exporters, manufactured goods exporters and the innovation exporter category.
The winners in each category will have added real value to some output of their current export operations through an innovation process. The overall exporter of the year will be selected from the category winners, with the Award winners being presented with their trophies at a Gala Dinner in November this year.
